Brenda Rowland, 63

Services for Brenda Rowland, 63, of Princeton, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18, at Morgan's Funeral Home in Princeton with the Rev. Mark Faughn officiating. Burial will follow at Fredonia Cemetery.

Mrs. Rowland died Friday, Jan. 13, at Baptist Health Paducah.

Her parents were William and Maudline Pinnegar Rushing.

Survivors are: a daughter, Kendall Rowland of Cadiz; two sons, Adam Tosh and BJ Tosh, both of Fredonia; three sisters, Linda Hamby of Princeton, Anita Oliver and Shirley Riley, both of Kuttawa; six brothers, Ronnie Oliver of Princeton, Gary Rushing of Marion, David Lee Rushing and Jerry "Beanerd" Rushing, both of Fredonia, Roger Dale Rushing of Sturgis, and Dane Oliver of Benton; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Pat Rushing, Hayes Pinnegar and Carl Oliver.

LaVerne M. Haney, 87

Services for LaVerne M. Haney, 87 of Kuttawa, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 20, at Dunn's Funeral Home in Eddyville with the Rev. Clay Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Kuttawa Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Haney died Monday, Jan. 16, at Christian Care Center of Kuttawa. She was a Baptist.

Her parents were Clarence and Syble Davenport Miller.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Layton A. Haney; a daughter, Syble Haney; a son, Layton I. Haney; a sister, Lillian Haney; and two brothers, Clarence Miller and Huey Miller. Survivors are: a daughter, Rhonda Haney of Eddyville; two grandchildren; and a sister, Gloria Byford of Madisonville.

Phillip E. McKinney, 68

Phillip E. McKinney, 68, of Eddyville died Thursday, Jan. 12, at his residence. He was a retired truck driver.

His parents were Edward McKinney Jr. and Thelma McKinney.

He was preceded in death by a brother, two sisters, and a grandchild.

Survivors are: his wife, Rebecca McKinney of Eddyville; six daughters, Lori McNew, Kimberly Diaz, Kelley Hall, Jamie Stinnett, Joyce Baker, and Tammy Crutcher; three brothers, Luther McKinney, Don McKinney, and Brian McKinney; three sisters, Patricia Wright, Carrie Caswell, and Kathy Johnson; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Private graveside services will be held at a later date.

Vernetta Myers Tabor Brown, 92

Services for Vernetta Myers Tabor Brown, 92, of Fredonia were held on Saturday, Jan. 14, at Morgan's Funeral Home in Princeton with Caleb Perkins officiating. Burial followed in Mexico Cemetery in Crittenden County.

Mrs. Brown died Wednesday, Jan. 11, at Crittenden County Health and Rehab Center. She was a Christian and attended Fredonia First Baptist Church and Fredonia Cumberland Presbyterian Church, was a member of Rosie the Riveter, and worked at Serville in Evansville Ind. as a riveter during World War II.

Her parents were Jesse H. and Pearl Allen Myers.

She was preceded in death by four sisters, Mary Lou Gerrard, Dorothy June Myers, Janie Barnett and Martha Belt; five brothers, Kenneth Myers, Edwin Greer, Randall Myers, Cotton Myers and Gilbert Myers; and a great-grandson, Laikin Kale Rowland.

Survivors include two daughters, Gale Tabor Perkins and Kaye Tabor Phelps, both of Fredonia; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
