Joseph Paul

Sigler, 79

Services for Joseph Paul Sigler, 79, of Princeton, were held Sunday, March 26, at Morgan's Funeral Home in Princeton with the Revs. Lester Watson and Mike Franklin officiating. Burial followed at Liberty Cemetery.

Mr. Sigler died Friday, March 24, at Caldwell Medical Center. He was a retired mechanic, heavy equipment operator and Baptist minister.

His parents were Joseph Talmage Sigler and Vernell Irene Messamore Sigler.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Jo Mabry.

Survivors are: two daughters: Lannette Sigler Smith of Eddyville, and Markita Sigler of Princeton; a brother, Roger Dale Sigler of Benton; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Mack T. Hagan, 93

Services for Mack T. Hagan, 93, of Grand Rivers, were held Friday, March 24, at Lakeland Funeral Home in Eddyville with the Rev. Mark Gill officiating. Committal service and burial were held Saturday, March 25, at Resurrection Cemetery in Owensboro.

Mr. Hagan died Tuesday, March 21 at the Calvert City Convalescent Center in Calvert City. He was a member of Grand Rivers Baptist Church, a World War II and Korean War Navy veteran and the retired owner of Hagan Construction.

His parents were Forrest and Generose Hagan.

Survivors are: his wife, Virginia Helen Marret Hagan; a daughter, Mary Castlen of Owensboro; two sons, Bill Lyninger and Gary Hagan, both of Owensboro; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Marjorie "Betty" Barnett, 85

Services for Marjorie "Betty" Barnett, 85 of Lyon County were held Sunday, March 26, at Morgan's Funeral Home in Princeton with the Rev. Ronnie Fox officiating. Burial followed in the Ramey Cemetery in Lyon County.

Mrs. Barnett died Wednesday, March 22, at the home of her son. She was a loan officer at Farmers Bank in Princeton, and a member of Lamasco Baptist Church.

Her parents were Lynn and Lillie Thorpe Fuqua.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Judson Duane Barnett; a sister, Jean Scott; and a brother, Robert Lynn Fuqua.

Survivors are: a daughter, Dana Rogers of Caldwell County; a son, David Barnett of Lyon County; four grandchildren; one adopted granddaughter; and two great grandchildren.

Jennifer Denise Capps, 43,

Services for Jennifer Denise Capps, 43, of Princeton, were held Sunday, March 26, at Morgan's Funeral Home in Princeton with the Revs. Daniel Hawk and Joel Benson officiating. Burial followed in the Princeton Memorial Gardens.

Ms. Capps died Wednesday, March 22, at her home. She was a domestic engineer and a member of Highland Baptist Church.

Survivors are: her mother, Bonnie Hooks Capps of Princeton; her father and step-mother, Gerald Thomas and Susan Capps of Charlotte, Tenn.; a son, Dylan Shaw McKinney of Madison, Tenn.; two step-grandchildren; her fiancé, Joe Frank Clift of Princeton; two step-brothers: Donald Hawk of Gallatin, Tenn. and Daniel Hawk of White Bluff, Tenn.; and a step-niece and step-nephew.

Virginia Marie Thorning, 94,

Services for Virginia Marie Thorning, 94, of Kuttawa, and formerly of "Between the Rivers", were held Friday, March 24, at Lakeland Funeral Home & Cremation Services with the Rev. Brian Small officiating. Burial followed at Smith Cemetery in Land Between the Lakes in Lyon County.

Mrs. Thorning died Tuesday, March 21, at Christian Care Center in Kuttawa. She was a homemaker and was a member of Pisgah United Methodist Church.

Her parents were Lee and Beulah Gregory Ramage.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon "Shorty" Thorning; a daughter, Judith Hunsinger; seven sisters, Lucille Brooks, Frances Barnett, Lois Story, Sue Hicks, Norma Rodgers, Martha Osborn, June Yopp; and three brothers, Boyce, Norval and Huey Ramage.

Survivors are: her son, Larry Thorning, of Kuttawa; a brother, Charles Ramage,of Reidland; two grandchildren; two step grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three step great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Charlie Fryar, 82

Charlie Fryar, 82, of Princeton,, passed away at 11:30 p.m. Sunday, March 26, at his home.

Mr. Fryar was a member of Donaldson Missionary Baptist Church and a Veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a retired boiler maker and realtor.

He is survived by two daughters, Pamela Bryant and husband Kerry of Mayfield, Karen Radford of Indianapolis, Ind.; five grandchildren, Joshua Bryant, Adam Bryant, Caleb Bryant, Tim Radford and Holly Koney; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Wring Fryar; one son, Philip Fryar; parents, Omer and Ovelia McDaniel Fryar; one sister, Geneva Threlkeld; one brother, Bill Fryar.

Funeral services will be held at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, March 30 at Lakeland Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Eddyville with Rev. Ronnie Stinson, Sr. and Rev. Gerald Cannon officiating. Burial will be private.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Wednesday (today) at Lakeland Funeral Home. Visitation will also be held from 3 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. Thursday, March 30 at Lakeland Funeral Home.
