Jean Gertrude King, 80

Graveside services for Jean Gertrude King, 80, of Homosassa, Fla., will be Saturday, Sept. 17, at 11 a.m. at St. Peter Church Cemetery, 43755 Elizabeth Rd., Clinton Township, Mich., 48036.

There will be no visitation or services locally.

Mrs. King died Monday, Sept. 12, at her son’s home in Eddyville. She was a retired business owner of the Twin Tiki Motel and restaurant in Eddyville.

Her parents were Woodrow Wilson Boyer and Gertrude Mary Tebo Boyer.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James King; a son, Cameron J. King; and a granddaughter, Andrea LeFan.

Survivors are: a son, Brad King of Mount Clements, Mich.; two daughters, Jamie King of Dycusburg and Tracy Bennett of Marion; two sisters, Gail Forrest and Gwen Kotwicki, both of Mount Clemens, Mich.; five grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.

Kathryn Bannister, 68

Services for Kathryn Bannister, 68, of Lyon County, were Friday, Sept. 9, at Goodwin Funeral Home in Cadiz with the Rev. Bob McIntosh officiating. Burial followed at Bannister Family Cemetery in Lyon County.

Mrs. Bannister died Wednesday, Sept. 7, at her home in Lyon County. She was a homemaker, previously worked at Johnson Controls in Cadiz and was a member of Hurricane Baptist Church in Trigg County.

Her parents were Harvey and Marie Jones Drennan.

Survivors are: her husband, Anthony Bannister, Lyon County; five sons, Willie Tyler, Hopkinsville, Roy Tyler, Owensboro, Larry Bannister, Benton, Randy Bannister, Princeton, and James Bannister, Lyon County; three daughters, Sharon Tyler, Hopkinsville, Missy Tyler, Lyon County and Brandy Tyler, Orlando, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Clifton Drennan, and Joey Drennan, both of Dawson Springs; three sisters, Susan Drennan, Vicki Edwards, and Sharon Gibson, all of Dawson Springs.

Susan "Gwen" Roiger, 58

Services for Susan “Gwen” Roiger, 58, of Westboro, Wis., were held Sunday, Sept. 11 at Hemer Funeral Home in Medford, Wis., with the Rev. Norman Cotton, Jr. officiating. Cremainal interment will take place at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Westboro at a later date.

Mrs. Roiger died Wednesday, Sept. 7 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital inWausau following her battle with cancer. She was born in Paducah and attended Lyon County schools. She worked as a housewife/mother, as a CNA at multiple nursing homes, and most recently at Great Northern Cabinetry in Rib Lake. She served on the Westboro Library board and served on the Rib Lake ambulance service for 15 years.

Her father was Richard Martin.

Survivors are: her husband, Tim Roiger of Westboro, Wis.; four daughters ,Shanna Berger of Westboro, Kassi Vande Voort and Kayla Poncek, both of Rib Lake, Wis.; four grandchildren; two sisters, Tamara Morris and Sandy Ramey, both of Kuttawa; and her mother, Delores Martin of Westboro.

Memorials may be made to the family for a future designation.
