By Staff Report

The second annual Nonnie's Place Benefit is set for May 20 at the Grand Rivers Community Center in Livingston County. The event will feature an evening of dining, dancing, drawings and a silent auction.

Festivities will kick-off with appetizers being served at 5:30 p.m. and dinner following at 7 p.m. This year's dinner is being catered by Our Daily Bread.

Entertainment will be provided by "The Jeff Alfiero Trio" from Nashville, Tenn., who play a variety of music including Elvis and Michael Buble.

A silent auction will be held throughout evening. Mary Engelbreit art, hand-painted children's chairs, gift certificates, a handgun, a giant see-saw water sport inflatable and more items are available for bids. Chances for a weekend stay at Green Turtle Bay resort four-bedroom condo, with a food package included, also will be sold.

Proceeds from the event will go towards completing the construction of Nonnie's Place located at 402 Heath Road in Eddyville. When finished, the home will house up to 16 mothers with children.

Chairperson Judy Driggers invites the community to enjoy an evening of fun and food. Tickets are available for a $50 per person contribution. For more information, contact Driggers at 314-495-8222.
