Lyon County fell 50-34 to visiting Madisonville-North Hopkins on Friday.
The Lady Lyons defense did a good job of disrupting the Lady Maroons, forcing them to shoot 38 percent from the field, but were unable to find points when they needed them.
Four 3-point baskets by Hannah Holloman fueled Lyon County's scoring. Holloman was the only Lady Lyon in double digits with 12 points. Allison Murphy (8), Terrianna Johnson (7), Allison Ellis (4) and Jenna White (3) rounded out the scoring.
In what was a relatively clean game by the Lady Maroons, Johnson made Lyon County's only free throw on the lone trip to the line. Madisonville had more trips to the line, but shot 11-of-23. Molly Stone led the attempts, hitting 6-of-12. Stone was one of three Lady Maroons in double digit scoring (14), along with Pepper Kalveona (15) and Brynin Carver (12).
With the loss Lyon fell to 17-8 overall. They will finish regular season play Thursday hosting Hopkins County Central.
