Friday night, Union County didn't have an answer for Gabe Board, who notched 25 points for Lyon County.
Board's performance led Lyon 78-54 over the visitors. For the night, Board hit 3-of-6 volleys from 3-point range, along with 11-of-14 from inside the arc. For the night, Board hit 79 percent of his shots.
Board was joined in double digit scoring by Peyton Martin, who hit 6-of-9 as part of a 15-point performance, and Jack Rooyakker, who notched 10 points for Lyon.
Josh Mincey (7), Hayden Murphy (6), Bryar Riley (5), Max Wadlington (6), Matthew Brown (2) and Gabe Defew (2) rounded out Lyon's scoring. Wadlington hit two buckets to go along with Lyon County's only points from the free throw line.
For the night, Lyon County pulled down 25 rebounds.
The Braves fell to 7-20 overall.
The win was the fourth straight for the Lyons who battled with injuries during the mid-part of their season. Lyon was slated to face St. Mary on the road Tuesday prior to press time. The two teams duelled earlier this month in the Akridge Ace Hardware Shootout, with Lyon County winning 58-39.
The Lyons will wrap up the regular season Feb. 16 hosting Hopkins County Central.
